Keep Zoho CRM and your Mailchimp audience in step
SyncSquirrel keeps unsubscribes and email consent the same in your Zoho CRM Leads and Contacts and one Mailchimp audience. Once someone unsubscribes, they stay unsubscribed in both places.

How it works
-
Sign in with Zoho CRM
Your Zoho CRM organization is your account. Anyone in it who signs in with Zoho uses the same account.
-
Connect Mailchimp and pick the audience
Then pick the Zoho checkbox that means "agreed to marketing email", and choose Leads, Contacts or both.
-
The sync runs on its own
Changes usually arrive within seconds. Changed records are also checked every 15 minutes, and everyone is checked every night. The Activity page says what was done for each person, and why.
What it syncs
- Unsubscribes reach Zoho. Someone who unsubscribes in Mailchimp, or whose address is cleaned, ticks Email Opt Out in Zoho, on every Lead and Contact with that email.
- Opt-outs reach Mailchimp. Ticking Email Opt Out in Zoho unsubscribes the person in Mailchimp. Someone opted out in Zoho is never added to Mailchimp.
- Never subscribed again by the app. The app never changes an unsubscribed or cleaned member back to subscribed. Only the person can subscribe again, through one of your Mailchimp signup forms. Then the app unticks Email Opt Out in Zoho.
- Consent comes from Zoho. Nobody is added to Mailchimp as subscribed unless the consent checkbox you picked is ticked in Zoho. "Not opted out" does not count as consent. Records without consent are skipped, or added as non-subscribed if you choose that.
- Leads and Contacts are one person. Every Lead and Contact with the same email counts as one person. When a Lead converts, its consent carries over to the new Contact.
- Deleted in Zoho, archived in Mailchimp. When every Zoho record with an email is deleted, the Mailchimp member is archived. The app never permanently deletes anyone.
- Status and consent only. People are matched by email address. The app syncs subscription status, Email Opt Out and your consent checkbox. It does not copy names or other fields.
Questions and answers
What data do you store?
Your Zoho organization's id and name, the people who sign in, your settings, and the Zoho and Mailchimp access tokens, encrypted. For each email address: its Mailchimp status, whether Email Opt Out and your consent checkbox are ticked in Zoho, and an Activity row for each thing the app did. We do not store names, phone numbers or other fields from your records. The details are in the privacy policy.
Which Zoho data centers does it work with?
Sign-in works with Zoho accounts in the US, EU, India, Australia, Japan, Canada, Saudi Arabia, UK and China data centers.
How much does it cost?
One plan: $29 a month per Zoho CRM organization, every feature included, with a 10-day free trial. Cancel any time; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. See the pricing page.
Does it use my Zoho API credits?
Yes. The sync uses part of your Zoho API credits and your Mailchimp API limits. The 15-minute check asks only for records changed since the last check.
Will my Zoho workflow rules run?
By default, yes: your workflow rules run when the app ticks or unticks Email Opt Out. Approvals and blueprints do not. You can turn this off on the Settings page, and then Zoho runs no automations on the app's edits.
How do I disconnect and delete my data?
For Zoho, go to accounts.zoho.com, open Sessions, then Connected Apps, and remove the app. For Mailchimp, open Integrations, then Manage, then Other connections, and remove it. Disconnecting stops the sync but does not delete what we store. To have it deleted, email support@bluedotapps.com and we delete it within 7 days.
